My favourite movie is based on my favourite book “Gone with the Wind”. It is just an easy watching, romantic movie. Also, I like the Shrek movies as I like a good laugh. Which is your favourite movie?

G’day Steph. I am in Tasmania and have a class blog as well http://wyatt67.edublogs.org
Now to answer your question – my favourite movie would have to be “The Sound of Music” because I like Julie Andrews as an actress and I also love the songs in the movie. The storyline is also great.

I have many favorite movies. One of them is The Pistol: Birth of a Legend. Although the title makes it sound like a violent movie it isn’t about guns. It’s about achieving your dreams. It is the true life story of “Pistol” Pete Maravich. He is one of the best basketball players ever. The movie follows him on his journey to becoming a pro basketball player and how he overcame so many obstacles by practicing and keeping focused on what he wanted.

I like a lot of movies. But I love The “Shawshank Redemption”. Tim Robbin’s character, Andy, proves to me again and again that if it’s important to you – it’s worth fighting for.

I also happen to love Morgan Freeman’s voice, so the fact that he is the narrator is an added bonus.

See http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0111161/ for more information about the movie.

Hello, Steph, from Colorado in the USA. Believe it or not, I don’t have a favorite movie. I like a lot of them so it’s too hard to pick just one. I’m hoping you won’t mind that I visited your blog anyway to say Good Luck and Keep On Blogging!

Evita – because I love the story, I love the songs and I love Antonio Banderas. In fact, although I don’t normally like her, Madonna is brilliant as Eva Perón and the other main actors are very good too (Jonathan Pryce as Perón, Jimmy Nail etc)

    Hi Steph,

I think my favorite movie at the moment (it changes from week to week) is Kate and Leopold. I like it because it has romance, drama, humour and some history, which I love.
I’m also a big fan of all the Harry Potter movies, mainly because I love the books and the movies bring the books to life. (The movies aren’t as good as the books though!)

    Hi Steph

I don’t really have one favourite movie. Some of the movies I really enjoyed are:
Les Choristes – just a lovely, well structured movie
Chocolat – Loved the book too
Open season – you’re never too old to enjoy cartoons :-)
Unfortunately at 10.30 p.m. I’m having trouble thinking of others!

My favorite movie is “Local Hero”. Its about a small village on the Northwest coast of Scotland. A large oil company from Houston want to purchase the entire town in order to put in some off shore drilling.

I like pretty much everything about this movie, from the soundtrack by Mark Knopfler, to the funky British humor that runs through the movie. Plus there’s a wee bit of magic in the movie as well!

Lately I really enjoyed The Dark Knight though I don’t usually go to see these types of movies. Other than that I don’t really have an all time favorite though the movie I can remember the most is a really old movie I saw as a child called Mrs Miniver which is a war movie. Funnily I saw it again many years later and I couldn’t figure out why I liked it or still remember parts of it, strange huh?

    Hi Steph,
Some of my favourite movies are: “World’s Fastest Indian”, “Shawshank Redemption” and “Motorcycle Diaries”. I guess the theme that runs through all of them is persistence and determination. Congratulations on getting your blog up and happening!

Hi Steph! Congrats on your first question to the world! :) I’m a 4th grade teacher in Tucson, AZ and I can’t wait to have my new students answer your blog (I think I’ll make it one of their first technology assignments) :) Before they answer you, I need to give you my answer. I am a total movie freak, so this is a really tough one for me …hmmm….I think I’d have to say The Princess Bride. I’ve seen it so many times over the years, and it still makes me laugh. It’s one of those fun movies that people quote all the time. The book’s great too, btw.
